Q. Do you therefore offer lower quality than the competition?
A. Quite the reverse. We offer the same, if not better quality than our competitors. Our shutters are made from the best American Basswood and Yellow Poplar. Besides this all our shutters are carefully spray painted, so that no runs appear in the paintwork.
Our shutters distinguish themselves by careful finishing and attention to detail. Just compare them with the shutters from other shutter suppliers!
Q. I get an error message when filling in the quotation form. What is going on?
A. Check your form on the following points:
- Check whether you have filled in all the sizes in centimetres (1 metre = 100 centimetres).
- If your total area is less than 3 m2 you will get an error message. That does not mean however that your local retailer will not accept your order! Call 070 387 99 33 for the address of a re-seller in your area.
- If you still do not succeed in filling in the form, call 070 387 99 33. One of our employees will be glad to help you.
Q. What is your delivery time?
A. Our delivery time is at least 8 weeks, but that can be as long as 14 weeks if we are busy. Enquire with your order about the current delivery time.
Q. Where can I see actual examples of your shutters?
A. Hampton shutters are sold at a number of sales outlets in the Netherlands. Call 070 387 99 33 for an address in your area or fill in the contact form.
Q. How long a guarantee do I get on the shutters?
A. There is a guarantee of three years on all our shutters in any event for orders delivered after july 2010. However, wood is a natural product that may warp.
If normal internal factors such as humidity and temperature have already stabilised and the deformation seems to be permanent, regardless of whether this is due to manufacture or external influences, we will replace the components for you free of charge. This guarantee does not apply to bathrooms and other rooms with 'extreme circumstances'.
Q. What colours are possible?
A: You can choose from two types of finish: paint and stain. For paint colours you can choose from the entire RAL range. You can order the two most popular colours without supplement. For other paint colours we charge a small supplement.
Q. How wide can a shutter panel be?
A: Generally speaking we say that each panel is at least 22 cm wide and at most 80 cm. If you have special requirements, then call 070 387 99 33.
Q. How are shutters made?
A. Shutters are made largely by hand based on your specifications. We make them to size for you, accurate to the millimetre. Each shutter is thus unique.
Q. From what wood are shutters made?
A: For the production of our Hampton Shutters we have chosen a special type of wood: American Basswood.
American Basswood is better known in the Netherlands as Linden. It is a soft, yellowish white type of wood that is often used to produce musical instruments such as guitars.
We have chosen this type of wood for several reasons, including that they damage the environment as little as possible. For American Basswood the US has a legal replanting obligation.
